    • Hi Sundae! If we DO get rain I guess it will be late today. Right now it’s already heating up – I stuck my pink nose out the front door a bit ago and stuck it right back in immediately!

  1. Love the painting…as you said, it’s perfect for today. This hot spell is beginning to feel as if it will never end….so ready to complain about cold weather.

  2. Very pretty painting Sam. Your Mom is very talented. We have cooled off here and it is very cloudy but we can’t buy a drop of rain. And it is muggy. Back up in the 90s tomorrow. Ick. I keep clicking over to the Mythbusters and no babies running around. Breaks my heart. I need my kit-TEN fix!

    • Mom and I miss the kittens too…….a LOT. Can’t wait for Foster Dad John to get a new Mom and babies…….there’s something so sweet and dear about little ones (or big ones like me even!! HAHAHAHAHA).

      Happy Sunday Evening!

  3. It’s great – it looks like the “quiet before the storm” – and I’m afraid we will get one today. Stay cool Sammy&Mom – we ponder about an ac-thingy – but I’ll bet if we buy that thingy we will get bad weather – I’m sure.

    • Hi Easy…..that’s the way things usually go when you’re thinking about getting SOMETHING then the reason you got the SOMETHING changes. Oh well…..I do have to say that life without AC here in Virginia would be almost impawsible!

  4. That is so pretty. Warm and 78 with maybe some rain. Sure better than the almost 100 with heat index. My kitties are getting much needed window whiffies today. So much so it tired them all out. LOL. Have a great Sunday Sammy.

    • Thanks Bailey – I told Mom you liked that old painting of hers. It’s 85 here which is actually cooler than it’s been this time of day for weeks so we’ll TRY not to complain!

    • Thanks Layla (painting) and thanks too for the encouragement about the weather…..we actually just had about a 15 minute light shower – hopefully that’s the beginning of the end of the excessive hideous heat!

    • Hi Nellie!!! Little Jo-Jo looked comfy on the tree – were you and Koz out ruling the world while she slept through it??? Tee Hee……it’s plenty hot here I gotta say – but we just had a little bit of a rain shower which helped just a bit to cool things off.

  5. That is such a lovely painting! Hope you are managing to stay as cool as possible. We’re getting a break from the humidity here today, so we are going to enjoy it while it lasts!

    • It just started sprinkling lightly here about 15 minutes ago….SOMETHING is better than NOTHING – now if it cools things off a bit instead of making them steamier we’ll be happy!!

  6. Sorry we didn’t get by here yesterday, but you knew what we were doing. Thanks Sam for bringing your costumes. It was so much fun dressing up. I really hope you got enough bacon. Mom had no idea that so many kitties loved bacon. She thinks that next year she’s going to roast an entire pig as well as have a bacon eating contest! Thanks for helping make yesterday great. There will be a pawty wrap-up post on Thursday with a little gifty for efurrybuddy who joined us yesterday. Pam, you are so multi-talented! The only thing our mom is good at is words. • I had such a GRAND time yesterday at your blogaversary pawty! Especially the BACON! YUMMMMMMMY! Sign me up early for a bacon eating contest for next year….I’m AVAILABLE! What’s that Mom? Oh….sure….help yourself! Thanks Sammy – Mom here – thanks for the major compliment about being multi-talented…..I think you are too – writing is TOUGH…photography is TOUGH…both are talents so that means you’re “multi” too!!

We’ll look forward to seeing what you’ve cooked up (bacon?) for Thursday………….Meanwhile, stay cool and know that we REALLY love you guys!!

  7. your mom is a lovely artist! thank you for sharing her work.

I hope things have cooled off for you. On hot days the Miao Brothers sort of wilt and nap away all day, unless we have the AC on. I don’t like the AC but I am significantly outvoted by the Miaosies plus my father.

    • Things are still hot and steamy here and no sign of rain which definitely makes it worse. Washington, DC area is famous for humidity and without A/C it gets QUITE miserable. Fresh air is best but not if it’s 105 degrees! LOL
