It’s the day after Mom’s Day and we’re just hanging out at my house………..Mom spent yesterday doing stuff like buying plants and planting them in the yard (with my snoopervision of course), doing two loads of laundry (hey – if she wants to celebrate Mom’s day by doing Mom stuff it’s OK with me!)……..and uploading the cover of her book to my blog with a link to Kindle for those of you who have a Kindle and wanna read a fabulous book (yes of course I’m prejudiced). The cover art is my Mom’s painting of an old covered bridge. Anyway, if you look to the RIGHT here on my blog you’ll see this cover and if you click on it you go to Amazon/Kindle – isn’t she clever????? YAY MOM!!!!!

We had a nice sunny day……..and I visited lots of great blogs by those of you who blogged about Mother’s Day – so many sweet posts – obviously you feel like I do about the “human who takes care of us” in our lives. YAY!
Today Mom’s going to get the surprise packages ready to send out to the winners of my blogaversary competitions – I hope it doesn’t take a bazillion years for them to arrive at their destinations – you know how the mail is……I could probably deliver them faster using my hang-glider!

TWO Spoiled Cats 
Yesterday the whispernet of amazon whispered not to me, but I will try it today again. Mom said dad has to read it to us and while reading he should translate it – I’ll bet this will be a very funny reading. I’m very excited about the teaser tomorrow, hope I can find some “special” hints :o)

Oh dearie me…..sorry Amazon didn’t like you yesterday for some reason – discrimination against Weimaraners??? I think that’s a capital offense!!! OFF WITH THEIR HEADS! If your Dad will be translating Mom’s book, who knows what it will be about – it’s a mystery already but it will REALLY be a mystery if he’s translating (hahahahaha – just kidding). As for the Teaser – you’re so SMART I’m thinking you’ll guess them but we’ll see about that!!

Mom’s book was in print for several years until her publisher closed up shop! There are some copies floating around (on Amazon they show some used print copies for sale for CHEAP) – not everyone has a Kindle we know but until Mom gets it back in print (which she’s working on!!) it’s not available any other way. Thanks for asking though!!!!! Mom tried to get her publisher to use her painting as the cover “way back when” but they did all their own covers. Now she can have whatever she wants on the cover – YAY!

Hi Mollie…..you know, since my Mom’s book isn’t in print and only available on Kindle, I guess it will be tough for peeps to read it any other way. She’s going to EVENTUALLY have it back in print but right now, there are only like 8 copies of it in print and Mom’s taking those to a book signing in September. I think your idea to send a copy to everybody to pass it on to read is way cool though…..Mom and I think you and your Mom are THE BEST!

Hi Miss Pix…you’re nice to mention the “S” word (as it’s known around here) – Mom had about 1/3 of a sequel written when she got sick and just never went back to it. Who knows – if she sells a bazillion copies of the first book on Kindle (or in print when she finally gets around to doing that) maybe she’ll finish the danged thing.

HA! Well, I wish to heck I had painted that oil painting – but I’m afraid my talents don’t QUITE extend that far (even though I have opposable thumbs so I COULD hold a paint brush!!). I am rather good at arranging my kitty kibble in interesting patterns on the floor though….I suppose that’s ALMOST “art” right?????

Mummy is pretty old fashioned about books and tends to buy ‘real ones’. BUT she does really want to read your mummy’s book and thinks she can download a kindle app on her phone. Once she’s made sure she’ll definitely buy a copy:-)
