Tuesday Teaser and Snow!

Standard

Hi Peeps!

I had lots of comments and a few emails from everybody telling me that while you had a ton of fun at the camping trip, you really missed the Teaser last week.  ME TOO!

So, here’s the deal – as I said in my Monday blog, I am almost pawsitive I used these photos before but cant find any evidence that I did – the photo isn’t in my WordPress media library so either I HAVEN’T used it or I deleted it…..in any case, you may remember this one –  – !!  Take a peek – it’s one place (obviously) with two different views.  Where were my parents when they got this nice view?????

MysteryPhoto325

Tomorrow I’ll let you know who guessed it right on the money – whether it’s because they remember it from another time I used it OR just because you KNOW!   Good luck with those magnifying glasses and clean computer screens!

What do you get if you guess right?

BIG SAMMY HUG !!!!

And, I couldn’t let the post conclude without offering some photos from yesterday morning here at my house……we DID get some snow – like four inches of it – this is how it looked as it became light enough for my Mom to snap some photos – I was asleep at the time and I napped through most of the snow.

Back deck into the woods.....fairyland!

Bottom of front yard.....

Down at the bottom of our front yard!

Front porch view down into the yard....was snowing hard but you can't SEE the snow!

My big tall oak tree with a dusting of powdered sugar on it!

Mom didn’t get a picture of me with my sled although I did actually go outside at one point until the snow got too hard for me.  She decided to “make” a photo of me and my sled though – so I can pretend anyway!

Wheeeeeeeeeee!!

Wheeeeeeeeeee!!

Don’t forget to guess on the Teaser TODAY – – – – I will reveal the winners tomorrow.

Happy Tuesday Teaser everybody……………….

    • Hi Misaki! It was a very pretty kind of snow…..thank heavens it wasn’t really heavy – which means we didn’t lose any tree limbs or branches….even though it was pretty we hope it just might be the last gasp of winter….The Easter Bunny comes this weekend and if we have snow I won’t SEE him hopping around out there!

        • Those canada geese are EVERYWHERE…. 😀 😀 We have tons of them who hang out at the small lake just down the street. I do love watching them fly overhead on their way to plop down on the water – they get WAY LOW over my house!! Good guess though Misaki – come see me in the morning!

  1. The snow pictures are beautiful! Snow looks so lovely while it’s still clinging to the trees.
I can’t see a teaser picture, Sammy. Are you teasing again?

  2. Yippee, you got to use your new sled. Fabulous. Now, somewhere hidden in my head is an idea of where those photos were taken but, for the life of me, my brain filing system is so cluttered that I cannot find it. I think friends of my parents went there but I just cannot remember.

  3. Hmmm…. I don’t recall seein that picture before, Sammy. But I don’t know where it is….
The snow pictures are GORGEOUS! Motor Mommy says it really does look like a fairyland! (But I’m glad it’s all gone, so you can get back outside and stroll through the grass!)

    • Hi Sundae……I’m kind of glad the snow is gone too. I mean it’s fun to watch it, but I don’t like cold toesies!! I’ve already been outside this morning for a grass munch…..it won’t be long now before there is a LOT of new grass to chew!

  4. I’m not sure where it is but mum said there used to be a children’s program in the UK called Rosie and Jim and it looks like where they lived! So I guess it’s Rosie and Jim’s barge! Hehe! Bisous Bailey

  5. Can’t believe you got the snow and then didn’t get to use your sled. Maybe today before it all melts. Your faux sledding picture is quite adorable. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette

  6. I think that are narrowboats in UK, maybe on the chester canal (or union canal now) But I’m not sure – I’m not a fan of seafaring and I’m seasick while crossing a bridge :o) Have fun with your sled and stay warm and cosy :o)

    • Hi Easy! Thanks for guessing……..I’ll tell ya tomorrow if you guessed right. Meanwhile, I’m with you on the seasick thing – I have a feeling I’d not do any better at water than I do in a car. I HATE moving (unless my Mom is carrying me around of course!!).

  7. Hi Sammy,
That’s Bancroft Basin in Stratford-upon-Avon, where the Stratford-on-Avon Canal joins the River Avon. In the background you canm see the lock that leads from the canal to the river. But it looks quite different now as on the left hand side there are piers now so that more narrowboats can dock. Here’s a different view [taken 2 years ago]: http://pitsbilderbuch.wordpress.com/2011/08/28/england-reise-fruhjahr-2011-64/
That’s us approaching the piers: http://pitsbilderbuch.wordpress.com/2011/08/28/england-reise-fruhjahr-2011-61/
And that’s our boat, the “Silver Cygnet”, on the River Avon, with myself at the helm: http://pitsbilderbuch.wordpress.com/2011/09/13/england-reise-fruhjahr-2011-81/
Best regards from southern Texas, and stay warm,
    Pit
P.S.: The texts for the aboive pictures are (mostly) in German, but I hope you’ll enjoy them anyway. That holiday [ 2 weeks on a narrowboat], btw, was one of the best we’ve ever had

      • Hi Sammy,
I can assure you: it’s an absolute fantastic experience. I called it “rhe discovery of slowliness”, as you’re not allowed to travel more than 3 mph. And especially the rural Brisith canals are so wonderful. But so are the cities you pass through.
        Best regards, and stay warm,

          • Hi Sammy,
That trip we did was absolutely fantastic since it included so many different aspects of England: the big City of Birmingham, lovely rural towns and areas, rivers and canals … I call this area “the heart of England” and it’s really worth while. I can only recommend it to your parents. Should they ever need advice, just let me know. The only disadvantage: due to those quarantine restrictions in England you could not go with them. 😦
Take care, and have a good one,
            Pit

          • Hi Mr. Pit…..I told my Mom and Dad about your kind offer to give them advice should they do the barge thing in England…..I think their next trip will be in France – a river cruise from Paris to Nice with their favorite cruise line “Avalon Waterways”. They probably won’t go this year but next year MAYBE. As for going with them – since I HATE being in a car (much less a plane or boat!!) I’m just as happy staying behind at the kennel (they spoil me even more than I already am!!!!).

          • Hi Sammy,
I’m sorry I’m answering that late, but too many things happened in between. When we travel and can’t take our dogs with us, they stay at our vet’s kennel, which we call – jokingly – “The Patton Hilton”, and they like it there. Our cats always stay here at the house as they’re quite used to running around the property and often stay outside anyway, even when we’re here. We alsways have friends or relatives come by and feed them. And they have plenty of spaces in our old buildings or under the floors to stay when the weather isn’t too good.
Talking of water cruises: my wife and I will be on one in Germany [Mosel, Rhine & Main] this autumn. we’re really looking forward to that.
Best regards, and the felines and canines send theirs, too,
            Pit

  9. Pretty sure I’ve got this one. Your mom is standin’ on a bridge that crosses a canal. How’s that guess?

LOVE the snow at your house. Very pretty. Are you gonna take your new sleigh out for a spin today?

  10. Oh no, that’s tricky. It’s a beautiful canal, looks like the Erie Canal near us but we’re pretty sure it’s not. So we will either say a canal in upstate NY or Amsterdam?!

  13. Great snow photos!! I thought the teaser might be Holland. I don’t think it is Norfolk Broads in the UK. It looks too neat. So now am thinking it has to be Stratford on Avon!! But don’t know, so if I’m right, I don’t deserve a hug from Sammy! 🙂 . .. though it would be nice 😉

    • Hi Savvy…..well I do believe your Mom won’t have to worry about snow here for Blog Paws. The snow we got a couple of days ago is GONE! It’s supposed to be 60 here this weekend so maybe Spring is finally starting to arrive. The Teaser photo does kind of look like those canals in Amsterdam – my pawrents have been there – but this is Stratford-Upon-Avon in the UK!

  14. Did you reeeeelly go out into the snow?? We got 9 inches overnight Sunday and mom opened the door to the back deck (where there were only abotu 4 inches cuz it was protected and stuff) and then filmed us trying to go out in it. WE NO LIKEY!

    Like

    • WOW! That’s a whole lot of snow guys! You tried to go out in all of that which is a lot more brave than I am…..I went out in snow showers but only an inch or so of snow – and even then I hopped from one of Mom’s footprints to the next like a snow rabbit. I “NO LIKEY” either!!

  15. Ha ha. Powdered sugar on trees! How clever of you Sammy! I think the snow really DOES look quite beautiful on the trees when it’s snowing. You have a lovely snowy yard, and although you couldn’t get out in the snow with your sled, I think the picture of you ON your sled looks really cute!

  16. Aw, we showed up too late, but mom thinks she actually knows this one? Is this Amsterdam? Because of the houseboats…

We will go look at the answer now 🙂 If mom is right, she just might die. In a good way 😉

    • Hi Remy! Well, your Mom is right about all those houseboats in Amsterdam of course…..my Mom said when they did a canal cruise they saw some beautiful houseboats there BUT it wasn’t there (which you know by now!!).
