Tricky Monday

Standard

Happy Monday!  Why is it “tricky” ??  For me its because I’m working on tomorrow’s Tuesday Teaser and the photo I have in mind is ringing a bell as one I’ve used before…………..EXCEPT I checked my old Tuesday Teaser photos and can’t find it.  SO I think I’ll use it (actually THEM since I’m posting two).   If I have used them before – you’ll get your hug for sure because you’ll just KNOW where it is.  If not – well good luck.  HAHAHA

Other than that – it’s still too dark outside this morning for me to see but it would appear that the weather guy was actually right!  We have snow but it’s hard to see how much – maybe 2-4 inches though.  Yesterday afternoonwe got  a few flurries before dinner but if you blinked you missed it….no “real” snow.  So maybe later, when Mom and Dad finally get out of bed and we get this household popping, I’ll be able to take my new sled out there to give it  whirl????

Which reminds me – I have mentioned that I have the sled next to my toybox which is as you know not a “box” at all but a little red wagon.

My toy box is actually a toy WAGON!

That’s not a REAL raccoon tail by the way…..

I’m getting quite a collection of THINGS though and while this entire big house is like one big “Sammy Room”, I’m wondering if I need a bedroom of my own.  Know what I mean?  I could put my special stuff  in one room (instead of all over the house).   Here’s some of the things that would have to go in MY room:

We call this the Grandma Chair - Sam thinks it's a great nap spot.

My Grandma’s old chair with my other Grandma’s old quilt on it!

My tissue collection of course....VERY necessary.

Enjoying the yard and the nice fresh air!

This is what I want for my wall to wall carpet…..and handy snack!

So – do you think I’m asking for too much?  Am I dreaming the impossible dream?   I promise I’d keep my room clean and straight.  Honest. The only problem I can think of might be the fact that the Monster wouldn’t be able to keep my “carpet” clean……would my Dad have to bring the lawnmower inside to mow my room???   Oh – no – never mind – I can keep it trimmed by snacking regularly!!

Problem solved…………..but that still doesn’t answer the question of “will my Teaser photo be a REPEAT!!!???”    Guess we’ll find out tomorrow….huh!

Happy Tricky Monday!

  1. Sammy, that sounds like the PERFECT room! In fact, I am copying it and asking my human to create something very similar for me! I’ll let you know when she has set it up!

    • By golly I think I will! Thanks for the encouragement. I should think Mom would appreciate me having all my treasures, toys, assorted stuff in ONE place instead of everywhere…..I’ll give the petition a whirl….wonder how many ways I can disguise my pawwriting??? 😀

    • Hi Sundae….well Mom says I’m going to take my sled out – I’m not so sure about that…..I mean the SLED can go out there and enjoy the snow but I’d rather be INSIDE enjoying it if you know what I mean!

    • I planned to take my sled out but fell asleep in my window seat and when I woke up – THE SNOW WAS MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELTING! Mom got some pix of the snow though – – – maybe I can at least photoshop myself and my sled on the snow!

  3. I think you should have your wn room. I’m working on mine. I have taken over the computer room pretty much and most of the living room. Love the idea of grass in the house. BUT: no lawn mower.

    • Hi Katie….you could rent a goat to come and “do your lawn” in your room once a week or so – keep it trimmed up nice…..OR, like me, if you enjoy a munch of grass from time to time, keep it trimmed yourself!

    • Hi Miss Pix…well, I’m starting my campaign for “Sammy Space” today. So far, Mom doesn’t think it’s a good idea but I’m workin’ on her….sometimes I get my way with “THE LOOK”…..it’s worth a try – right??

  4. I think your very own room with wall-to-wall grass sounds wonderful! Impossible? Never. Once you set you mind to it, I bet you can do anything.

  6. We have our own room here, Sammy! We have our beds, our toys and our food and water. Plus direct access to the big back yard. But our peep says we STILL have our things strewn all over the house. After all, it IS ours, right? And the peeps are our servants, right? Lots of love from Mattie the foxhound, Simone the collie, and Eddie & Lucy the JRs. Oh and our peep.

    • Hi gang! You’re right of course – the house is OURS – we just choose to share it with humans. Since they open the food bag/can I suppose they ARE necessary though! I’m so happy Mattie is feeling better – that means Simone, Eddie and Lucy are taking VERY good care of the Senior Lady of the house.

  7. I think it’s important to have your own room – including the lawn. Every kitty needs their private sphere – that’s an iron law :o) I’m glad we have no snow and the only flurries here are the McFlurries :o) Have a wonderful Monday and have fun with your sled :o)

    • Hi Easy! It’s still snowing a bit and while I DID manage to go outside with my Mom when she filled the bird feeders I didn’t take my sled with me. I forgot to bring it. Maybe later…..I’m so glad you see my reasoning behind a lawn-filled room for ME ME ME. I bet you’d enjoy that too – I know once in a while you like to bring a bit of grass/salad inside but imagine a WHOLE room full!

      • Wish I had my own room for all my treasures and the hunting preys :o) But sadly I have to supervise my staff the whole time and according to my contract I have to be their shadow. But on the other hand I can use the whole crib for salad, cadaver, sticks and dirt :o) Stay warm and cosy all – this snow is infested with flu-gremlins :o)

        • Hi Easy….that’s right – you do need to keep an eye on your staff – they tend to get into trouble without you keeping them in line. When your Mom goes out of the house ANYTHING can happen…..!!! I’ve got photos of my snow on my blog tomorrow. Before it finally stopped we had five inches of the stuff. We want Spring….where is it??

    • HA! I bet Cocco would love a whole room full of grass for his very own – although he does like being outside in the sunshine in the grass too but with an INSIDE grass room it doesn’t matter what the weather is! It’s nice ALL the time….

    • I guess I have the whole house too come to think of it but somehow I think it would be extra way cool if I had my very own little room with wall to wall grass carpeting and a climbing post with perches on the walls – or maybe the walls covered with carpet so I could climb up…..and a catnip dispenser in the corner……and…….whoopsie – I think I’m getting carried away!! 😀 😀

    • Oh Misaki how grand that would be…..My Mom used to pull me around the house in a cardboard box with a rope attached when I was a baby. I loved it! Now I have a wagon and won’t get in it – BUT my toys look swell in it don’t they?!

  11. When my toy box got too full, Mom hid some of my toys in the closet. Then in a few weeks, she switched the closet toys into the toybox and the toybox toys into the closet. I was excited. I thought she went shopping!!!

    • HA! My Mom does that too – cleans out the box and puts some of my toys in a bag down in the basement……..then one day when I LEAST expect it (or have forgotten about them!) out they come. It’s like Christmas all over! Our Moms are pretty smart aren’t they Cupcake???

  14. Wow Sammy! That sure is a lot of toys in your cute little red wagon (toybox)! You still look very cute when your sleeping. No, I don’t think your asking for too much. Maybe you can consider in your cat room, Sammy, a cat perch next to a window in that room so you can know when it’s snowing out so YOU can use your sled!

    • Good idea Poka……I love my cat perch in the living room window but it looks out onto trees (birds!) and squirrels (YAY!) but not the snow. Maybe when we move I can get ANOTHER perch!

      Like

      • Well Sammy, if you ever wanted to see two places with two different views at once, you can always get another perch. No, it doesn’t have to be the same as the one in your living room, but I think maybe your mom can fit a little one on that cat room of yours if you ask her. Here’s an invention I just made up that I want to share: If you dad is good with building things with wood and using tools, then maybe he could measure out a fifteen or ten inch perch that can slide onto a window covered with carpet on it. That way, you can sit on the balance of it and still watch the snow! I’m always coming up with great ideas!
