Well everybody – my poor old Mom seems to be coming down with SOMETHING…….like a cold or cough or flu or something icky. She really didn’t feel good yesterday AT ALL but she was brave and did the grocery shopping, laundry, ironing, then shared her lap with me (yay) for nap time and by evening she felt worse……..
Come sit down and rest Mom….you don’t look well! I’ll keep you warm!
I haven’t seen her yet this morning so I’m not sure how she feels after sleeping last night. Poor Mom. It’s bitter cold here – yesterday was super windy and while she had on a heavy parka with fur-lined hood it was still mighty darn cold. I DO try to take care of her but you know how stubborn humans can be. They insist on doing stuff they maybe shouldn’t do like indulge their spoiled rotten cats by going outside with them in the ice cold to let their cat children have a munch of grass (yes – I confess – I did that twice yesterday)…….
So, if we’re not hopping on and off responding to your comments quickly today – please forgive us…….I’m going to concentrate on “TAKE CARE OF MOM DAY” today. I need her to be totally feeling good for my birthday pawty next week you know. But I also love her a lot and don’t want her to be sickly!
A sickly human is NOT fun to be around…….but Doctor Sam is on the case!
Huggies on Friday……..(oh – and yes it’s monster day but Dad’s going to do the housecleaning all by himself – what a guy!!).

She has typists sympathy as typist went down with something similar on Christmas eve! And then this morning her dog was taken ill so she spent all morning cleaning up sick before coming into work (she is now worried that she smells of it too! and has forgotten medication and her lunch in the process) Anyway rant over back to focusing on your mum hope she is better soon, have a lemsip on us!

Awwww…..not a fun way to start a day or spend Christmas! My Mum feels better this morning and I’m on my bestest behavior so I won’t be giving her a hard time today….I’ll make sure she spends lots of time in her recliner with a warm kitty (me!) on her lap keeping her warm!! I hope your typist feels better soon too!!

Hi Miss Caren and Cody…….Don’t you worry your heads about Mom – I’ve got her covered (literally!)…..we’ve been snuggling lots today. I’m keeping her warm. Dad’s fixing meals and being a BIG HELP. We “boys” are pretty good with the nursing thing.

Oh Sam I so sympathize and empathize with her. I was a sickie for five days with the sore throat, stuffed up ready to explode head and coughing BUT I got to feeling better just in time for Christmas Eve. I got it from my great(not so great)two year old nephew at our family Christmas. Tell her it takes 5 to 7 days. One day when it all peaked I felt so bad I even cried a teeny bit out of frustration. I was afraid I wasn’t going to feel good enough to eat those noodles and chicken. Oh I so hope she is feeling better this morning and had the short version. You need to go and curl up with her and give her some ginger purrs. And tell her to get lots and lots of kleenex or Puffs which I prefer over the looooooooooong haul.. 🙂

We’ve got plenty of kleenex (and when that runs out we’ve got lots of TP…haha)…..and hopefully she’s got the SHORT VERSION of the bug. I’m glad you got better in time for Christmas though! Oh yeah, CH prefers TP. But dang that is hard on the old nose. What does that say about what the intended use of the TP? One word.. Cottonelle. I hope she is good by New Year’s. Crab legs have to be eaten here and then the ick creamed herring. Fingers crossed for the SHORT VERSION. Nice warm ginger kitty on the chest will cure almost anything Sammy!

I’m not sure what my pawrents will have for New Year’s other than of course doing a lot of preparation for my birthday pawty! Mom says she feels a teensy tinsey bit better this morning……but she’s still coughing so I’m gonna make her be good again today. Not easy…..you humans can be VERY single-minded. 😉

Hi Sammy,
I wish with all my heart that your mommy will perfectly well soon. I’m sure you’ll be looking after her very nicely, but please. make sure she doesn’t take even what might just be plain old cold too lightly. Last Sunday we lost our cousin here to what he had thought was just that: a “normal” cold. He came down with it on Wednesday last week, felt better on Friday and Saturday, and then, on Sunday, at around noon, was taken to the hospital by a friend of hie because of his laboured breathing [btw, he walked into the emergency room by himself] … and a little more than two hours later was pronounced dead! So, again, don’t take any kind of cold too lightly.

Hi Rumpy! We know how to take care of our humans when we have to don’t we buddy!! I’m making her stay in bed or in her recliner – if I’m on her legs she won’t DARE get up (pretty sneaky huh?!)……I’ve brought her all my favorite toys to keep her company. Dad’s been doing all the cooking – we’re taking extra good care of her believe me. Hope you’re gearing up for a WANG DANG DOODLE New Year’s Eve!!! Hi there! Oh I’m taking super good care of my old Mom you’d better believe that! Between me and Dad she’s getting spoiled but I guess that’s only fair since normally it’s ME that’s spoiled. I think the weather maybe got my Mom too – it was warmish then got super cold and back again….my Mom used to live in Florida so she knows it can be like that down there too! We’re actually expecting a couple of inches of snow today so I’m making sure Mom stays INSIDE and stays WARM!
