Boxing Day………..yesterday was Boxing Day and I missed it……I’m ready now of course as you can plainly see but NOBODY TOLD ME so I missed out on showing my stuff in the ring……………..
What? What did you say Mom? OHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Not THAT kind of boxing……..you mean the cardboard boxing – I love boxes…..I even talked you into saving some of them from that mess you and Daddy made in the library with paper flying, ribbon ripping, boxes tossed to and fro….I rescued some and insisted you KEEP them for me! THAT kind of boxing.
Anyway, guess what else happened yesterday……we got MORE snow! We did…….close to two inches…….but late in the day it turned to rain which means we now have about two inches of SLUSH everywhere. Slush is nowhere near as pretty as snow. Oh well. Can’t have it all right?
I think a bunch of my friends are taking some extra time off for the holiday because I didn’t have a lot of “blog hopping/visiting” to do yesterday. Maybe today will be different…..I’m dying to know what everybody got from Santa Paws.
Well, please excuse me but I believe Mom and Dad are about to leave for the grocery store. Mom usually goes by herself but because we’ve got some icing on the roads, Dad is insisting on driving Mom there. I just want to check and make sure “SAMMY FOOD” is on the list – not that I don’t trust Mom to remember – but I don’t want ANY POSSIBLE EXCUSES……..yesterday I got my last container of my favorite food and the only stuff we have left in the cupboard is yucky.
A guy has to look out for his interests you know…………Happy Boxing Day Plus One!
Kitty Hugs, Sammy 😀 😀 😀
Hope you got your food ok and the folks did not have much trouble driving xxx

Hi Molly! Thanks for the holiday wishes…..I think things are slowly getting back to “pre-holiday-normal” around here. Once the Christmas gear is packed away for another year our routine will allow me for more peaceful napping!

Sam, would you mind coming this way in a box? I’d love to pet you. That last pic is just too cute.
Your dad is right to go with Pam, ice on road can be dangerous.

Hi Mr. Leo! I’d love to pop in a box and come visit you and Doggy in Spain….as long as Doggy wouldn’t treat me like one of his chew toys that is…….tee hee. Yep – that ice is wicked stuff. I won’t even go outside if my feets can’t STICK to the sidewalk without me slip-sliding around. Not fun – but in a car it can be wicked!
Happy Day After the Day After Christmas!!

Slush is a mess to drive on, I’d rather drive on snow! Just put her in 4 wheel drive or if ya got all wheel drive you are good to go! Sammy I know they will get your favorite food with not one little problem. Although we found that all the grocery stores had been hit hard and hadn’t been restocked yet. Enjoy your Thursday Sam, we are going to go to the kinda big city today for bird seed! And a CHEESEBURGER!
LikeLike
Oh now you’ve got the right idea with that cheeseburger thing…..my Mom ADORES them too. I think my Mom has bird seed on her grocery list since they have great big bags of sunflower seeds there too. Our birdies and squirrels (and deer) have been by a LOT lately to visit our feeders……have fun on your “mini-trip” to the kinda big city today!

Good morning, Sammy,
I’m glad your Dad is driving your Mom to the grocery store, since the roads might be dangerous. Will he shop with her and put all sorts of interesting things in the cart???

HA! Dad drove Mom but he stayed in the car while she shopped…….but he DID help her put the stuff in the truck when she finished shopping so THAT was nice!! She won’t let him shop with her though because he DOES put weird stuff in the cart that she doesn’t know about until she’s paying for it! HAHAHAHAHA

Sammy you are sooooooo silly! Did you know that the original “Boxing Day” really has nothing to do with cardboard boxes? Mom Googled it and it was quite interesting! Oh and guess what? We got FIVE PLUS INCHES OF SNOW! WOW!!

WOW Cody! That’s a lot of snow buddy! We didn’t get much but we’re supposed to have more on Saturday. If this stuff sticks around it will be more on top of the ice – not so good……but it’s no worries here since we’re not going anywhere anyway! Yes, Mom was looking up the “boxing day” thing yesterday too…..I still think boxes are cool (the cardboard kind) and as far as I’m concerned, EVERY DAY is a boxing day!! HAHAHAHA

Hmmm…. I think you should get your peeps to get you your favourite food “by the box!” What a great box that would be, huh?
Did I tell you what I got for Christmas? Oohhh… it was great. Santa brought all us cats the nip toys the first peep had elfed. Also, three big bags of treats and several gift BOXES of Fancy Feast. Yum, yum… The peeps gave us some stuff, too. There was a box with several really neat toys and then another toy that came in a box all of its own. Think that was it. We had a very good Christmas.

Boxing Day scares me. I think it’s like getting a spankin’ – not that I’ve ever gotten a spankin’ before. Mom says it a lot though. Sometimes when she threatens a “spankin'” I run to the refrigerator because it sounds like she’s going to give me “BACON” and I love bacon.
Love and licks,

Hi Sparkle…..we can handle the snow thing – it’s the ice that’s treacherous! Mom picked up all the boxes left over from Christmas yesterday – she left me just one 😦 which I’m using for toy storage at the moment. My toy wagon is overflowing and I think I’ll have to weed through it AGAIN since Santa brought me some new stuff. I hope you have a great weekend…….boxing!

Hi Isobel…the roads weren’t bad at all – I was surprised – but we’re to get more snow/ice perhaps later today/tonight so we’ll be staying home nice and snug with fire in the fireplace and no “road trips” ! The weather has been so strange this past year……..looks like we’ll carry that into the new year.

The boxes I have are small-ish and often I have a bit of a “hangover” problem with my tummy or rear or even a foot and tail once in a while but I like SNUGGY boxes vs. the big ones. Anyway, the box I saved from Christmas is quite comfy and I’ve stashed some of my Christmas pressies in it. An auxillary toybox you could say!
