Caturday Cuddling

Happy Caturday Gang!   It’s funny but even though I napped all day Thursday with my parents gone…..today all I want to do is NAP more but this time on Mom’s lap!   I really missed her and my Dad all day Thursday.  HOME ALONE for Thanksgiving – sniff sniff 😦  – but they did bring leftovers back with them from West Virginia and we DID have yummy turkey for lunch AND dinner last night.   I shouldn’t complain – right?

HOWEVER, today is Caturday and my Mom says she’s not doing any housework or laundry or yard work or any of that stuff……so she’s MINE ALL MINE! 😀

We’re having a big breakfast (bacon included) this morning for our usual weekend routine then I’m claiming Mom’s lap.  Dad will just have to find something to do that doesn’t involve ME or Mom – PERIOD!

Tomorrow is Sunday of course and I think I heard something about a bit of housework……..so I’m enjoying every minute of today.  Tomorrow I have a feeling the monster will come out of the closet and it will be noisy……today is – well – PARADISE ON LEGS!

    • Hi Sundae……so I hear you had company ’round your house last night – did they behave? You have to keep an eye on groups of humans when they’re around!! Today you should get a BIG “recovery” nap!

    • Oh Cupcake I hear ya sistah….my Mom wants me on her lap but as soon as her legs fall asleep she’s complaining. When will they realize they just can’t have it ALL (like we do…hahaha).

    • Hi Cody and Miss Caren! Mom surprised me this morning and decided to have Monster Day today instead of tomorrow. I ran for cover but now that it’s quieted down I’m taking advantage of her sitting in the recliner for plenty of “recovery naps” !!

    • Poor Rumpy! Well, the only GOOD side of alone time is that you can either find something naughty to do while nobody’s looking OR sleep without interference! Whatever you choose – ENJOY!

    • Guess what…….my parents surprised me this morning and did the housecleaning TODAY instead of tomorrow. When the monster’s closet door was opened, I ran for cover but at least the noise is over with and I can return to my Mom’s legs….very sneaky humans here in my house!

  11. You are lucky you have a lap, Sammy – my human is too busy! Even if she is not, she decides to exercise or run around with her camera. When she sits at her computer, she fidgets. I will take a nice, soft pillow over her any day.

  14. Sammy you’re right humans are sneaky but I’m glad you got lap time in the end! AND Bacon! You are a really lucky ducky today! I’ve had boring biscuits, not even a treat… mmmm…. maybe I should go and demand a treat now! =^.^=

    • Bailey, it’s important to keep your humans on their toes by asking for treats FREQUENTLY! I did get a lot of lap time to make up for alone time (and you deserve that too since your humans were away for SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO long!). You did get a fun toy out of it though…..your weasel ball is WAY COOL!

  15. oooh WE was totally alone for Turkey Day too (And NO punkin pie – CRIMINAL we sez!) In fact, they just got back and have just NOW begun to catch us up wif our blog visiting. Canz you believe it?!?!?

    The very least they can do is to provide laps on Caturday, we think! MOL!

    • Hi Guys! I’m glad I wasn’t the only cat who was “home alone” for turkey day. All of us abandoned cats and critters should have had a GREAT BIG PAWTY without humans present!! Oh well – NEXT time right????

    • Savvy when you’re ready for the lap – the lap will be THE SPOT for you and you won’t hesitate. Trust me. I wasn’t an “instant lap cat” either – took me a while to give it a try. You’ve come such a long way and a lap nap is just one little step further!! 😉
