Hi Peeps……………I really think that MAYBE we’re slipping into Fall finally. This morning when Mom opened the basement door and went outside to take the basement trash out she said she could see her breath!
That means chilly……..and chilly means Fall is falling. Fall falling means trees turning and leaves coming down off the trees. That means I get VERY perky. Do you get livelier when the weather is cool? Just wondering – some of my animal friends who are “older” say they feel much perkier when the weather begins to cool……..then some, like me, have a harder time with the COLD when it arrives…..joints ache more, we move a bit slower (Mom says she and Dad do too!).
But Fall is my favorite time………..fires in the fireplace – piles of leaves for me to play in – what’s not to like?
People around here in Virginia are remarking on how BIG the acorns are this year and how many of them there are……the squirrels aren’t complaining of course (or the deer) but they say the acorns indicate we’re going to have a COLD and maybe SNOWY winter!
What’s YOUR favorite time of the year?
Kitty Hugs, Sammy 😀
My favorite time of the year is spring and summer. I need sunshine and warmth. I don’t like autumn and winter. Much too cold… Bowie shares my opinion.

We do enjoy sunshine but there’s something about fall with the beautiful colors and chilly mornings…winter in Virginia is rather unpredictible….some years hardly any snow and others FEET of snow. We’re hoping for the former this year rather than the latter!

Hi Mollie! Happy FURIDAY to you too! I am so behind on blogs…my Mom was out of town for a whole day and messed my schedule up (I’m still pouting about that). So it’s getting cold already there? Today we will be in the 80s again but nights are getting quite cool and early mornings too. I’m going to see if I can find your puppy class OOPSIE blog. 😀

We all love the fall – Dad because he does not have to work in the garden any longer, Mom because of Halloween and for reading ghoststories at the fireplace with a cup of tea, treats and ME, and me for hunting all leaves and for being invisible on misty days…our winter is normally only a rough fall (no snow or ice)

Hi Easy! Lucky you not having to deal with snow and ice. I always worry about my poor old Dad out there with the snowblower trying to clear off our driveway after a big snow. My Mom gets excited about Halloween too – I get a special “cat pumpkin” of my very own and the little kiddies in the neighborhood always like seeing MY pumpkin when they do “Trick or Treat”…….Happy Friday Dude!!

Whee love Autumn (as whee Brits call it!). It is a fun time of year! Whee might have to write a story about it actually! Whee love the misty mornings and the dew covered grass and the fact that Mummy has to collect grass and bring it in for us, or grow her own indoors!
Autumn means it is nearly Winter, which means nearly Pigmass. Wowheeee, the excitment is already getting to us!

Very nice pictures to look at this morning Sam. My favorite time of the year is Fall too and early winter but after Christmas I am ready to head to Florida. I get a cranky when winter gets down to business. I just do not want any ice storms. I would be happy with all 4 seasons if the weather would just behave and not have any extremes, you know, just mellow out some. Your yard is beautiful and I think you are going to have a very colorful Fall. I definitely get perkier in the Fall, my whole outlook brightens. Enjoy your Friday Sammy! Oh! it’s raining here now, thank goodness!

Hi Sammy,
What my favourite season of the year is? Difficult to say, as here in southern Texas we have 4 seasons: winter, summer, summer, and … summer. 😉
Well, of course we do have spring and fall, but mostly they’re awfully short. Maybe spring is my most favourite season. Yes, I think it is, especially if we had a wet winter and have all the lovely spring flowers. [http://pitstexasexpatblog.wordpress.com/2012/03/28/spring-pictures-1/ & http://pitstexasexpatblog.wordpress.com/2012/04/06/happy-easter/%5D
Take care, enjoy the fall season up there, and don’t get TOO perky,

Hi Mr. Pit!! You DO get some beautiful flowers don’t you?! Up here, it’s still pretty cool at Easter so we don’t have as many flowers as we will by just a few short weeks AFTER Easter. You are in one of the prettier areas in Texas…some are a bit too “desert-ish” and hot. As for getting too perky, Mom says at my age there’s no such thing as “TOO” when it comes to perky!! Tee Hee
Happy Friday

Hi Sammy,
Yes, when we’re lucky, we do get some pretty spring flowers here, even if we’re not in a wet area of Texas. Actually, we’re already at the fringe of the Chihuahua Desert hereabouts.

Oh I guess that’s right….you miss your greens. Well we still have greens in autumn – and I like to nibble grass myself. It’s in the winter when the grass is covered with cold snow that I miss “grazing”. Mom tried to grow what they call “cat grass” inside for me but I didn’t like it at all. Sigh. Winter is great snuggling weather though I agree. We have a fireplace too and I sleep on the end of the couch that’s closest to it OR on Mom’s legs where it’s nice and warm and toasty!
Hope you have a lovely weekend ladies! 😀

Not sure about why big acorns = big snow/bad winter. Maybe it’s Mommy Nature’s way of providing lots of food for those pesky squirrels over winter? The more/bigger the acorns, the more food they’ll get since they’ll be trapped in their nests due to tons of snow?????? Tell your Mom I appreciate her SQUEE over my extra toesies – my OWN Mom does a fair share of squeeing over them too! 😀
