Meownday Morning…..

Happy Monday Peeps!

Peek-a-Boo

Interesting photo huh?  Looks like a square cat shoved inside a square box fitting perfectly “square” inside.  😀   I kind of tricked Mom.  I was nice and cozy in her studio under my favorite afghan up on the couch…..then just as she got ready to snap the picture I ducked my head behind the dark pillow.  Sneaky aren’t I??

I hope your Father’s Day was as nice as ours was.  The weather was PURRFECT, Dad’s presents were PURRFECT (he loved his new shirts from ME), amd our grilled/smoked chicken dinner outside on the deck was PURRFECT.  After Dad got the chicken cooked on the grill, my parents stayed outside and I got under the umbrella table and Mom gave me a couple little chunks of chicken to nibble.  I’m not a big chicken fan, but I wanted to join in the fun my parents were having – besides I have to admit, the chicken smelled fabulous after Daddy smoked it with apple chips on the charcoal grill.  Mom says Daddy is a “Grillmeister” – whatever that is.  I think Daddy had a great day.

What did you do to celebrate the day – and if you didn’t have a Father’s Day celebration, what did you do for your Sunday activity?

Don’t forget tomorrow is Teaser Tuesday.  I’m working on it.  I promise not to make it too tough (tee hee).

Kitty Hugs and High Fives, Sammy 😀

    Hi, Sammy!
Sounds like a purrfect Father’s Day! You were tricky to hide your head just as your Mom took that picture. (Isn’t that fun!?)
    Happy Monday!

Hi Sundae….Mom didn’t think it was nearly as funny as I did when she tried to take my picture. I love my “under the afghan” forts as you know – mostly because I like to keep my Mom company in her studio….I watched her and knew as soon as she stuck that camera down there I could fool her by ducking behind the pillow! I’m a little devil aren’t I ??

      Happy Monday

What a funny photo of you, Sammy! We had a pretty busy day here for Father’s Day – some of the kids and grandkids were here, so there is always LOTS of noise and talking and eating going on! I was glad when it got quiet again and I could breathe! Hope you have a wonderful day today!

Hi Miss Linda! I figured you’d have a lot of Father’s Day activity with kids and grandkids….we don’t have any of those (!) so we had a nice quiet day ending with a cookout on our deck last night. Today you should be able to catch your breath again that’s for sure. RELAX!

  3. Sammy I am glad your Sunday was PURRFECT the whole day! We celebrated our Dads that have passed on by drinking a little toast to them. We had never done that before, but you gave us the idea to celebrate our Dads even if they are not with us anymore. And we grilled chicken kabobs and had CH’s famous, well famous to us sliced grilled potatoes and I steamed some brocs! It was a lovely Sunday. A little HOT! You were playing with your Mom on that hiding your face thing! Enjoy your Monday Sam.

  5. It rained off and on here yesterday. Todd got his four-horse hitch drove (practicing for the shows). Him and Jake worked on the horse semi trailer and then went fishing. I sorted digital pictures while laundry washed itself and I managed to trim a couple lilac bushes! I know, exciting huh?! It was a wonderful, much needed “down day”.
You’re a stinker for hiding your head Sam! Very funny.

Know what Miss D??? Your Father’s Day activities sound PURRFECT….everybody did what they like to do (well, except maybe the laundry part!) and we ALL need “down days” sprinkled among the busy ones. You all really work very hard so you should also play hard!

Hi Miss June! I do have to work a bit to keep Mom on her toes but it’s a lot of fun that’s for sure! We had a lovely day yesterday – which is good because today isn’t so lovely – it’s raining and windy!

I’m so glad you had a good Father’s Day! My Dad really seemed to enjoy himself and I had some extra “tissue time” with him – his gift bag had some nice bright red tissue in it which of course he gave me. YAY!

  8. Your chicken on the grill sounds fabulous, Sammy, especially with the apple wood chips! Love the picture, too. I guess you’re such a big star now that you have papparazzi following you everywhere, even during naps!

Hi Miss Trish! Yes, it’s tough for a guy like me to get some peace and quiet even in my afghan tent…..At least Mom doesn’t use the flash inside much BUT still, a guy ought to be able to enjoy a nap once in a while without hearing that digital camera whine! Tee Hee!

Hi Nerissa….I sure enjoyed reading the story of your “Father Figures” including your biological Dad who lives with you (which I think is WAY cool). Dads are special…..biological or otherwise! Someone to look up to – that’s what it’s all about.

Hi Sparkle…..well, my Mom needs to take some more pictures of me because she tends to do a lot of “recycling” !! but I don’t always cooperate. Free days are GOOD days. We had one today in fact.

Hi Sammy and Pam, we had a good Father’s Day too but we had winds of 40-45mph all day so we did not do the bq. We made chicken fajitas instead and Minnie likes chicken too so she got a few bites. Love your hidey place….perfect! Minnie likes getting under newspapers too:) Happy Meownday Monday:)

  19. Hey Sammy, you do the ‘duck head, hide face’ move even better than me…must be your many years of practice, huh? Sorry to be so late in comments…Mom has been tied up taking care of a shelter recue at the shelter where I was. Poor baby fractured his tibia, we think he got stuck and jerked his leg. ANyways, Mom takes him for his surgery tomorrow so he will be on the mend. He is 2, coal black and Mom says he is such a sweet natured little gentleman who just wants a lap. purrrrr

Oh Savannah….never worry about commenting on my blog – I get behind too because I think both of us have lots of friends now and it takes lots of time to check in everywhere to say HI and see what everyone is up to! Anyway, I sure do hope that little guy’s surgery goes well and that someone gives him a furrever home REAL SOON. Sounds like he’s trying to find one by being such a good little boy!
