Alone Again….Sniff

Hi Everybody and a Happy Saturday to you from me!  Saturday around our house is usually very quiet.  Today will be no exception because my Mom and Dad are leaving me home alone.

Yep – every year our little town of Warrenton closes down Main Street (which isn’t very long anyway!) and opens it to foot traffic and tons and tons of craft vendors of every type and size and shape and specialty!  My parents ALWAYS go – rain or shine – and they’re usually gone for HOURS AND HOURS (ok…..maybe 2-3 hours….it just seems like forever).

On top of all of that they have FOOD.  That means they probably won’t be home until they’ve eaten a bunch of things they wouldn’t normally eat.  They head for the medicine cabinet and gobble down some Tums and say they’ll never eat “whatever” again – – but I know that next year when this time rolls around they’ll be right back there eating stuff they shouldn’t.  They say it’s all part of the FUN.  (Humans can be very difficult to figure out sometimes don’t you think???)

I thought you might like to see this picture of our town – it’s not a conventional view though – my Mom snapped the photo from the airplane while she and Dad were doing a flyover of the house.

So today I’ll just have to get along here at home all by myself….I’ll try to look as pitiful and forelorn as possible when they come back home.  AND – as a special “I love you” gesture – I’ll even try to be sympathetic when they head for the medicine cabinet to grab the Tums!
