Hi Peeps! Happy Saturday………well yesterday I was – as the blog title says – a BUM. I know you find that hard to believe (don’t you???), but I whiled away the day between napping and a few short trips out to check on the yard. Most of the day I was:
- …..zzzzzzzzzzzz……
Yep – it’s the truth.
And when I wasn’t doing THAT, I was in the back yard:
Making sure things are in order back here!
Or in the front yard:
Yep - looking good here too....no invaders....no unauthorized squirrels!
So after I established that the world was safe for another day (at least in MY neck of the woods), I came back inside and was my usual companionable self with my parents. Of course all of this was undertaken AFTER they put the noisy MONSTER back in the closet for another week (Friday is housecleaning day). Had to wait for THAT to be over with before I could do anything.
So all in all, it was a good day but because nothing BIG happened today, this is going to be one of the more boring blogs I’ve ever done – if I had something huge to share I would. Believe me. But in truth, it’s been JUST ANOTHER DAY IN THE LIFE OF ONE SPOILED CAT

Hi Sundae! Yep – gonna be a wet one but Mom says we really, really need rain so I won’t be complaining. I’ll be watching it from a window OR maybe from the front porch. Besides, we should ALL enjoy some great napping because of the wet!

Thanks Miss Linda! It’s a lot of work out there in the yard but SOMEONE has to do it. Fortunately I can do it in the shade of my umbrella tree. It’s been a great day today as well. Sunny (even though we were promised rain), breezy and Mom, Dad and me outside a LOT. All of us will be glad when the pesky oak pollen is finished falling – KAAAAACHOOOOOOOOOOOO! Excuse me!

Hi, Sammy. Boring days are good so we can re-charge our batteries for those days when the loud monsters get us so upset! Does your Dad’s lawn monsters worry you and make you stay inside? See?! It’s things like that we have to conserve our strength for!

Hi Miss June….yes, I’m not crazy about the INSIDE or OUTSIDE monsters. At least the outside ones aren’t as loud – the wet vac, vacuum cleaner, and some of Dad’s power tools in the basement are ICKY inside monsters. Mom whips around the yard so fast on the lawn tractor it’s over almost before I can get scared of it though!!!!!

Yesterday I thought it was Saturday all the dang day and now I’m having Saturday again and since we retired I like my week days better than weekends. My honorary Uncle Jerry has a cute little terrier mix named Zoe who keeps him on his toes and I know FOR A FACT he talks to her all the time so what difference is it talking to a CAT I wonder?????!!!!!! Zoe doesn’t blog – maybe THAT’s what’s different! 😀 Anyway, my parents like weekdays better than weekends now they’ve retired too. During the week everyone ELSE is at work so it’s quiet…….on weekends THEY’re all home and making NOISE! No rain yet today – they promised but apparently they lied…….AGAIN. Tomorrow – maybe. Uh huh. We’ll see! 😉

Hmm…the secret is cat yoga. Yep – all that stretching we do keeps us in shape and keeps us focused and RELAXED. Mom says it’s a ZEN thing….I say it’s a CAT thing!

Hey Kozmo…no doubt your “Queen-Duty” IS cutting into your leisure time but you know – it’s what a brother does for his sick sister. I bet if YOU were sick she’d take care of you (well…alright….so maybe SHE wouldn’t but she’d make sure SOMEONE did!!!!). If Queen Penelope just takes her medicine like a good girl, she’ll be right as rain before you know it. As for how I manage? I don’t have anybody but ME to take care of. My parents seem to be pretty self-sufficient so I get plenty of time to myself. Why not just borrow Nellie’s tunnel and come on to Virginia and hang with me for a few days??????
