Hi Everybody!! Wow….yesterday’s Teaser was a pretty good one wasn’t it? What GREAT guesses everybody had too. It could probably have been ANY of the places you all guessed BUT there was only one winner and that was (drum roll please…………………………….):

My Mom and Dad were on a Rhine River cruise at the time……and one day everybody on the ship got off to take a bus tour to Strasburg. My Mom wasn’t feeling too well so she and Dad didn’t go with the rest of the crowd – they stayed on board and instead, arranged a taxi to come and pick them up at the ship and take them into town so they could wander on their own. The taxi driver was really nice but he drove so FAST! Imagine how my Mom and Dad felt when they heard a police siren coming up fast behind the taxi and stopped them on the street! EEK! The policeman came up to the taxi, opened the door, looked in at Mom and Dad and said “sorry – OK” then spoke with the driver in French – got back in his car and drove away! They asked the driver what that was all about and he explained that the police were looking for two Chinese people (??).
My parents still don’t know what all of that was about but they WERE as relieved as the driver that the police weren’t looking for THEM! 😉
Anyway, they had a nice walk around in the town, took lots of photos, Mom was feeling a bit better so enjoyed herself and at the appointed time the taxi driver picked them back up and took them to the ship.
My parents are always having interesting adventures……!!

Hi Sundae….yeah, I think it’s pretty funny about the taxi ride BUT at the time, Mom says it really wasn’t all that funny to them (or the poor taxi driver). I’ll try to come up with another good challenge next Tuesday!!!

Hi Miss Ingrid! Mom and I had a feeling you’d be one of the people to guess it since you know Europe so well….LOL…..Mom said to tell you it was WAY off the “tourist” trail because it was a nice quiet spot according to the taxi driver. My parents wanted to wander the little side streets where it was nice and quiet…..they eventually wandered into town though where all the hustle and bustle was……but this spot overlooking the water was their FAVORITE.

At least my guess was on the same continent! You really picked a good one this week! Glad your parents weren’t detained in some foreign jail – that would NOT have been a fun way to end a trip!

I bet that was pretty unnerving. I mean, really, racing around in a strange country then to have the police fling open the door! Sure makes a good story though.

It was truly a weird moment – if I think about the whole thing my heart starts racing (like the taxi driver did!)…I think the taxi driver probably remembers us too!! LOL It was a lot of fun though to be off on our own instead of being “herded” around with the rest of the folks from the cruise.

Oh! WoW! Mes thinks Strasburg would be a great place to visit! Nobody at our house has ever been to Europe, but we’s has been all over North America!

Oh Miss Nellie maybe one of these days you will have a private jet all your own (with a throne room of course) and can travel wherever in the whole wide world you’d like to! Strasburg should definitely be on your list though – Mom and Dad enjoyed it a whole lot.

Do you know how we guessed? We admit it, we cheated a tiny bit! Mommy biggafied the photo and it came up with the title “strasburg.jpeg”…so that’s how we knew. Certainly not because we’ve ever been there. Us cats do not travel.
But we couldn’t resist a guess!
