Hi Everyone………….I’m FINALLY HOME!
It was an amazing party Mollie and Ranger threw for Valentine’s Day but I’m really glad to be back where I am the happiest – on my Mom’s lap! I’ve got a LOT of sleeping to catch up on. Mom showed me these photos she took this morning when I briefly became conscious between naps.
There’s no place like home for a sound snooze!
Was that Mom’s camera I just heard???
Yep that’s me alright………….I’m thinking that even though I’m just a YOUNG AT HEART old guy at 13 years old, I need to slow down just a bit. These wild PAR-TAYS might be for the younger bunch. What do you think? Should I become more dignified and laid back in my seniorhood? Should I take life a bit more like my “alter personality” Samuel Hitchcat?
Mr. Cool, Calm, and Collected? Is that how I should behave????
Anyway, I don’t even think the monster out of the closet will disturb me today. I intend to do a lot of that activity Mom caught on film this morning.
A week from today my Mom will be leaving on her roadtrip to North Carolina to go to THIS BIG EVENT. Dad and I are already talking about what kind of male bonding things we’ll be doing for two days while she’s gone. Dad will probably be a slob for two days, and I’ll probably purposely make a huge mess out of my litter box to remind him of how lucky he is that Mom normally takes care of that kind of stuff. Tee Hee
I hope you all have a grand Friday……….as for me? You just gotta know I’m gonna be busy all day…………..snoring…………….

Hi Easy! How’s that paw of yours this morning? Hope it will begin to feel better SUPER soon. As for age – Mom tells me that it’s all in our heads – I guess she ought to know…so does that 19 year old cat I bet. I’m younger than springtime – I just have arthritis and it slows me down a bit!

Thanks – my paw is much better now – and we all were sleeping last night ;o) Arthritis is bad thingy – but most of us get it – even the humans. and if we got a treatment from the vet we have still a good life. Campfire on the bed is awesome – but be prepared with a ticket to a land far away – just incase your mom has no sense for cowboy-romantic ;o)

Glad the paw is better Easy AND that all of you were able to sleep last night. I’ll be having my annual checkup in a few months and Mom will talk to Mr. Vet about my arthritis. She bought me some special treats for joint pain but they are truly DISGUSTING. There probably is something tastier out there and Mr. Vet can put Mom on the right path to those I’m sure……
My Mom has a good sense of humor (she has to with my Dad as her partner…hahaha), but whether it extends to not minding if Dad and I have a campfire on the bed is – well – questionable. We may just have our campfire in the fireplace…..which wouldn’t be NEARLY as fun as on the bed!

You’re right Miss Susan! Over-dignified just “ain’t my style” !!! I plan to nap allllllllllllllll day today and I’m sure I’ll be back to my old (!) self tomorrow. Mom will miss us next weekend and we’ll miss her but guys need to be guys together sometimes……….right???

Thanks Layla! Sam doesn’t have to “be without Mom” very often but when I get home from being away he certainly does let me know he’s not happy. I’ll bring him a treat from North Carolina – maybe THAT will help!

You know what Nellie? You are my inspiration…..you had such a very icky life before you came to live with your Mom and Dad but you really are one happy girl who’s got many years behind her but carries on like a youngster! I saw those moves on the dance floor and I think it gave me energy just to WATCH you!!!
I’d probably pawty more if there were more pawties to go to but really my FAVORITE thing is just looking out the window and enjoying the view of the world going by.

Hey guys…yep – I “let it all hang out” at Mollie’s PAR-TAY and now I’m paying the price. However, it’s not so bad sleeping all day – in fact since my Mom cooperated and stayed put for a few hours reading a book, I was able to have a VERY long lap nap. I’m recovered now – officially.

I’ve been thinking lately about age and since all of us know kitties who are MUCH older than 13 and still going strong, I’m inclined to think that 13 is MIDDLE MATURITY and NOT “old” !! Lotus and I probably have the same kitty-philosophy…”act young stay young” !
