Hi Teaser Buddies!
I’ve got to hand it to you……………yesterday’s Teaser was NOT an easy one but still – somehow – SEVERAL of you guessed Virginia. Not sure how you came up with that really but however you did – you were right!!!
The Teaser photo below was taken by my Mom at the Warrenton Spring Festival in MY HOME TOWN of Warrenton, Virginia. Every Spring they close off the entire Main Street – which is only about six blocks long anyway (very small town) and there are tents with vendors of every description – crafts, food, products, produce, plants, artwork – you name it and you can find it at our street fair. My parents’ favorite part is the food. The fair runs all day but they time it so they get there around lunch time and hit the food vendors! The building on the right which several of you mentioned is our main court house. It’s an old building and actually the front steps and some of the interiors were used when Clint Eastwood came to town a couple of years ago to film the movie about J. Edgar Hoover ! Yes – Leo DiCaprio walked up those court house steps……tee hee

Concatulations Cody and Miss Caren!! Yes indeedy – those columns were a hint weren’t they…..and they usually have a country band playing on those steps during the festival with hay bales all around for people to sit and enjoy. YAY!

Hmm…..Mom says Main Street in Warrenton is “about” like King Street in Old Town Alexandria but you get off either one and you’ve got SKINNY streets!! We like Warrenton…….it’s small and wants to stay that way.

We have a photo guessing game every Tuesday….my parents travel a lot but sometimes we have a “guest” with their photo to share…..everybody guesses WHERE the photo was taken on the Tuesday Teaser – then on Wednesday we have the Teaser Tell All and everyone who guesses right gets a BIG SAMMY HUG (a very coveted award I might say!!).

Well, I’m not disappointed about getting it wrong since I didn’t guess! Can’t be wrong when you don’t guess, can you? But I’m sure Warrenton is a pretty town…with a courthouse with those columns, it would have to be.

Hi Savvy! Yep – Warrenton is my town and it’s pretty small but lots of history (which my Dad loves). Big Civil War stuff around here – Mosby’s Raiders and the Black Horse Cavalry……Mosby had a big old house in town which is now a museum. We love it here!!
