Good Morning and Happy First Day of February….. 
You THINK you know what TGIF stands for well guess what……today MY TGIF stands for (NO, it’s not Thank Goodness It’s February!!):
THANK GOODNESS I’M FURRY !!!
Indeed……..I’m very thankful for that because yesterday it was so windy and cold Mom had coats, hats, scarves, gloves on and she was still cold in the fifty mile per hour wind……..me? NO PROBLEM! My ginger and white fur coat had me well covered and snug as a cat in a rug!
We’re kind of lucky that way, aren’t we friends? We wear our coats all the time. Now in the summer it CAN get bothersome but even at that most of us shed a bit of our fur coat when the weather gets nice – what was once a FUR COAT turns into a nice WARM WEATHER SWEATER!
See? I can look pretty fluffy in my fur coat:
You can see in the photos my coat is a mixture of longish white hair and shorter ginger hair but it’s nice and warm. Mom isn’t so lucky (neither is Dad but don’t tell him I said that OK???). Mom says her hair’s a whole lot thinner since she got to be a bazillion years old (and Dad won’t ever admit it but same for him….. ).
Friday is for FURRIES……..and speaking of that we might get some snow FURRIES today too!

Even though I have fur, I still need a coat when it gets too cold out. Sometimes I shiver with my coat on, but I tough it out and manage to smell every single blade of grass out there before Mom drags me in.

Oh Cupcake you look so totally adorable in your coats – - it’s important to be comfy when you’re out in the super cold. You’re brave to tough it out but I bet if you got REALLY cold out there, you could give Mom “the look” and she just might pick you up and carry you home!!

Hi Cody and Miss Caren………it’s SUPER windy but not quite as bad as yesterday. The snow is a bit of a surprise – it’s all over EVERYTHING (again) – but the sun’s coming out so maybe it will VANISH – POOF – before you know it!! Stay warm…..it’s good cuddling weather.

You guys are definitely the luckiest, with built in coats to die for. Doggy wants me to send Pixels to him and he’s going to shave her – tut, tut. Imagine being born with such an awesome coat and having it shaved off!

Doggy’s just jealous of Pixel’s pretty coat….!! My Mom knew a lady a long time ago who had two cats and she shaved them. I think that’s just awful. I can’t imagine the CATS liked it!! Anyway, I do love having a fur coat when it’s chilly out – definitely a plus for kitties!

We are so thankful to be furry and fluffy as well. Unfortunately, it is not enough for the humans to let us outside ’cause it’s 21 degrees with a wind chill of -5 and flurries. We just want to know what’s up. It was 75 degrees on the weekend and we were romping in and out the open backdoor. Stay warm. We are trying to on the kitchen’s heated floor while meyowling about our predicament. It’s nice to have a warm fur coat but on super cold days like you’re having and we’re having – even THAT doesn’t quite do it! I’m happy INSIDE watching everybody OUTSIDE rushing around to get out of the cold wind. Gimme a warm lap or fleece blankie and I’m in HEAVEN! Stay warm!

Savvy you have a particularly beautiful and shiny coat…no wonder you’re proud of it! I agree that humans make wonderful radiators though….it’s the main reason I like Mom’s lap (although it’s also a great spot to be if I want a brush or massage!).

well I had a bit of Mom time today…only because it was my annual VET check up…and this time Mom got me in a room, picked me up and held me a moment, then into the PTU, then when we got back, she picked me up and gave me my fave dried kibble and held me before she gave it to me…not too bad actually

Hi Leo…..Mom says I make a VERY good footwarmer – I would imagine that Doggy is a bit too heavy for that although I’m sure he can snuggle down pretty good. You’re right – we can’t see the video even though we’ve learned how to POST one for other people to enjoy! Glad you are getting some time off…..everybody needs to decompress now and then (or is it decompose…HAHAHAHAHA). Enjoy your weekend! Oh – Mom does have some other short stories – a couple more I believe. Did you like “The Box” ??

Hey Sammy! It’s Poka kitty here again! I did visit Hatch A Good Life’s Blog, and yes, they have some good pictures on there. How to use a cat pad? Install cat apps, like Nyan Cat and have yourself play with them like games. I suggest you install or look up Nyan Cat videos to watch on YouTube, if you know of that website. Cats have a mode on there where you can set a game mode so that you can ‘swat’ planets, cheeseburgers, and more. Many cats on YouTube. It’s okay Sammy if you don’t have an updated computer. We have gotten our computer updated in the past and it’s running good as new. Still can’t wait for the Tuesday Teaser!

They weren’t……..everything was covered in white but it wasn’t even enough to measure. Two or three hours later even though it was still SUPER DUPER COLD, it was all melted away thanks to the sun! MYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY kinda snow!
