Hi! Well, I think today I need to do a little catching up on award nominations………with the holidays and all the activity PLUS my Mom being flu-ized since Christmas, I’m a little BEHIND.
Oops..did I say “little BEHIND” ? Maybe I should say “BIG behind” !!
A while ago my friend the lovely Princess Zena very kindly nominated me for an award that I alread have – the “Very Inspiring Blogger Award”…….and even though I have it, I still need to thank her for sending it my way – it makes my heart go pitter/patter that someone finds me inspirational! THANK YOU PRINCESS Z!!
And just the other day my beautiful friend Misaki presented me with “The Friendly Blogger Award” which is one I have never received before…….but I am thrilled to get it and I thank you Misaki my dear buddy for honoring me like that! Now if I can just get Mom to put it on my bling pile for me!!!
There aren’t any apparent “rules” for “The Friendly Blogger Award” but I have SOOOOOOOOOOO many friends and many of you either have never received this one or don’t have it displayed (or don’t accept awards in the first place!!)………..so may I just say that if you would like the award and can display it on your blog to help yourself to it? I consider everyone who reads my blog to be a friend – therefore you’re ALLLLLLLLLLLLL eligible!!! YAY!
I think everybody is pretty much recovered from the holidays by now……although I do know several of you are still SICK with this hideous flu bug that is hanging around. So please friends, take good care of your humans so they get over the flu quickly. I had to do a lot of doctoring to help my Mom and you know what big babies pitiful folks they can be when they’re sick. Just give them lots of cuddles and be careful not to breathe in when they sneeze in your face!
Here’s another bit of info……..any of you who are in the North Carolina area or close enough to visit, consider attending the Book ‘Em North Carolina Book Fair on February 23, 2013 down in Lumberton, North Carolina. Boy oh boy! If you are in the neighborhood (haha) and can stop by, you can meet my Mom in person. She’s one of almost 80 writers/authors who will be there selling their books. Mom will have her mystery novel “The Mystery of David’s Bridge”, and her two kids books, “Rainbow Forest Fables” and “Feral’s Forest Friends” at her table…….AND, she will be doing a reading for the kiddies in attendance that day too! Hi Mollie! Yes Mom is almost 100% better now…..she’s finishing up her cat book for the book fair – it’s going to the printers next week in fact. Hopefully it will get here in time for her to take along….if not, she’ll have the other two books. I saw on your bloggy where you’re supposed to have some lovely SNOW today! YAY! You’ll have to show pictures to those of us who are “snow-deprived” !!

Oh Cupcake…..there’s a lady that comes to the event with her papillon doggy every year AND there have been some german shepherds who were famous from being rescuers in NYC on 9/11 who have also been there…..you should get your Mommy to check out maybe coming to next year’s Book ‘Em event, bring you along, and sell her books there or maybe give a talk???!!! Wouldn’t you just have a whole lot of fun!!!

I like book fairs, I bought the first edition of one of my favorite books in there, really old one from Agatha Christie and pay less than nothing (sometimes it pays to know people lol).
